RULE EVALUATION
 
Enclosure
A system log message will be written under the following condition:
- When the name of an enclosure changes
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When an enclosure is offline (not available) 
- When a critical condition is detected
- When an unrecoverable condition is detected
- When an unknown condition is detected
Disk Drive
A system log message will be written under the following conditions:
- When a disk drive is powered on or off
- When a disk drive is bypassed by the user (Port A or B)
- When a disk drive is bypassed by a device (Port A or B)
- When a disk LED is turned on or off
- When a disk LED is set to blink
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a disk drive fails due to an open failure, SCSI error, or fault condition
- When an unknown condition is detected
Power Supply
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated, 
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions: 
 
- When a power supply is offline (not available) 
- When an unknown condition is detected
- When a power supply fails due to one of the following reasons:
 - Not receiving AC power
 - Not providing power
 - Over voltage
 - Under voltage
 - Over current
 - Reaching temperature critical condition
Temperature
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a temperature element is offline (not available)
- When a critical condition is detected
- When an unrecoverable condition is detected
- When an unknown condition is detected
Fan Tray
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a fan tray is offline (not available)
- When a critical condition is detected
- When an unrecoverable condition is detected
- When an unknown condition is detected
Loop
A system log message will be written under the following condition:
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a loop is offline (not available)
 (a phone message is sent only when offline for a determined length of time)
- When a loop fails
- When an unknown condition is detected
Backplane
A system log message will be written under the following condition: 
 
- When a backplane Port A or Port B is bypassed
 
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated, 
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a backplane is disabled
- When a critical condition is detected
- When an unrecoverable condition is detected
- When an unknown condition is detected
- When the average temperature exceeds 65C
- When the average temperature is between 60C and 65C for at least 10 minutes
Interface Board
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated, 
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When an interface board is offline (not available) 
- When an interface board fails due to the following reasons:
 - Over temperature
 - Loop 0 or 1 failure
- When an unknown condition is detected
Motherboard
A system log message will be written, a home phone message will be generated,
and an alarm message will be generated under the following conditions:
- When a motherboard is offline (not available)
- When a motherboard fails due to the following reason:
 - EPROM failure
- When an unknown condition is detected
