This patch fixes the problem that gtk+-0.99.7 was having on Solaris 2.5, where
compiling testglib testselection testgtk simple was causing seg-faults and
coredumps. It's being caused by a problem in solaris's echo, in particular,
it's printf routine. As such, it's only a kludge to prevent the error from
appearing, one may hope that Sun will remove it sometime, but until then, this
patch is provided to allow compilation on these machines. I don't know what
the feeling is on applying it to the release gtk sources, but since the patch
does nothing that should hurt anybody else, I think it would be a good thing
to put it in future releases of gtk, until such time as a new libtool
distribution adds this patch.

The patch was generated against gtk+-0.99.7 as distributed on ftp://ftp.gimp.org
